TheFullMonty100 is our most comprehensive programme. The key with the Full Monty is to equip you to swerve around every avoidable health risk that proven science can currently help you with. On top of that we also aim to use every reliable longevity tool, medicine and lifestyle change that can load the dice towards the longest possible healthspan for your body.

This programme is for you If you want to ensure your quality of life doesn’t diminish as you age. Here we aim, in partnership with you, to maximise your years of adventure, independence, mobility, and hopefully cognitive health. While there are no guarantees, if you prioritise science, knowledge, and body management over traditional remedial/emergency healthcare, then you can start the journey of taking control of your body and your major risk factors. And, barring accidents, aiming to seriously extend your healthspan.

With The Full Monty we look together at your personal supermetrics (and genetic wiring ) which correlate with cancer risks, cardio health, metabolic and cognitive health. We know that for many people heart disease or cancer are not completely random and that you can and should stay ahead of many disease risks with the right approach and monitoring. You will also learn if your alcohol intake is appropriate for your body, and you will adjust your exercise, eating, and sleep habits for better health.

This service includes components of diagnostics/scans, fitness, sleep, access to support for mental/cognitive health, nutrition….,, whatever you choose to dial in above the strongly configured base TFM service. We help you improve measurable ( and improvable) body metrics in the key areas which are vital for a long, healthy life. This is the start for you of a lifelong commitment to health, performance and longevity.

What's included?

Appointment Booking and Initial Preparation

Choose an appointment on Calthorpe Road in Edgbaston (via phone or online booking).
Provide background details about lifestyle, health, family history etc. prior to the appointment.

You will spend an hour with one of our doctors to:

  • Discuss your personal goals and priorities for the programme
  • start to understand the hard science behind how you can track and manage your unique body .
  • Develop an outline plan to address these priorities.
  • Undergo a targeted physical/medical check-up (covering 10 key elements).
  • Establishing some initial baselines, linked to key risks and goals( including some blood tests).
  • Take a first look at your body composition and muscle/fat distribution
  • Receive a glucose monitoring kit to track relative impacts of key foods over the next two weeks.
  • Options to pick up some important self-testing/monitoring kit

You will spend an hour with one of our Fitness/performance specialists to create some powerful baselines for future tracking and improvement. We will test:

  • A measure of how much oxygen your body is using at higher levels of effort
  • Strength measures which are analogous to body age
  • Your core strength/stability and balance
  • Your muscular endurance
  • Measures of your muscle strength and also muscular power
  • Your flexibility
  • Your reaction time

We think that you will enjoy the session, whatever your current fitness level.  We will also make sure that what we learn about your body from these tests can then feed into the wider set of body insights we are getting from the bloods, body composition feedbacks, CGM and other diagnostics.

You will not get your scores immediately. These measures and insights need to be woven together with the other important pieces of the Super-metrics' jigsaw that we are assembling, so we can discuss the broader picture with you at the next consultation. We will then tailor the intensive exercise phase to what we learn and agree together, as well as tailoring changes in eating habits and other action areas

  • Review blood and first physical results with your Healthyat100 doctor, along with their implications and recommended actions.
  • Discuss your glucose monitoring insights, metabolic health issues, and necessary dietary changes or consequences.
  • Test your body composition (muscle and fat levels), creating baselines and identifying potential risk or improvement areas.
  • Discuss specialised pharmacy or protective drug options and needs, including a review with our specialist pharmacist of any current medications. We will also discuss, if weight management is a concern, whether an appetite suppressant and metabolic modulator/booster might be useful to help kick-start more rapid weight loss (coupled with monitoring to check for side-effects and to ensure muscle mass and strength/stability are built up in tandem with any rapid weight loss).
  • We will schedule important diagnostics or scans relating to cardiovascular health, alcohol impact, and metabolic health. Results from these will feed into the super-metrics, which you will be able to track for the rest of your life. These results also form part of an ‘early warning’ system we’ve designed for TheFullMonty@100 clients (a good number of the key ‘status check’ scans/diagnostics are included in the programme costs). In other areas, some optional status checks will also be offered, depending on your goal areas and health concerns.
  • Agree on specialist stability, strength, and cardio sessions for the next rapid improvement stage.
  • Schedule a session with one of our 'body performance' specialists to measure your baseline strength, stability, and body age/longevity metrics.
  • Over the following two months, you will have carefully targeted weekly exercise sessions with our performance/fitness partners to begin improving your priority metrics.
  • Additional (optional) sessions will be available in other necessary support or improvement areas, as agreed with you based on your concerns and priorities (e.g. nutrition, sleep, psych....).
  • Other important diagnostics or scans may be offered during this time (e.g. deeper insights into how you really score on cardiovascular health, alcohol impact for regular drinkers, metabolic health, weight management....).
  • Other elements of self-testing and tracking may be introduced using tools we can provide.
  • Follow-up metric testing will be conducted after this intensive two-month period with one of our 'body performance' specialists, in preparation for the ‘Progress’ consultation. We are looking for good news
  • Review progress on targeted super-metrics and goal areas.
  • Retest some key physical and performance/risk area metrics to highlight improvements, reflect the impact of action areas, and plan next-stage actions.
  • Review the specialised scan and diagnostic results, along with the health context/science behind them (metabolic health, cardiovascular health, etc.). The precise results and any ‘scores’ will also be fed into your body performance tracker and super-metrics. Any issues that warrant follow-up will be actioned (either directly by us or, where traditional remedial care or secondary care is needed, via your GP).
  • We also offer a genetic screen which will give you insights into how you are wired. These can be related to a range of disease risks or natural protections you may be biased towards, as well as specific insight into eating habits which are potentially impacted by your genetics, likely exercise-types which might suit your body etc.
  • Discuss further plans/support for how you eat, exercise, or medications you take - and identify other advanced diagnostics and body-tracking technologies we agree should be deployed.
  • Identify any other support needed to ensure the continuation and broadening of performance, risk management, and potential longevity gains going forward.

Two additional face-to-face consultations with your Healthyat100 doctor and performance specialists to:

  • Carry out a follow-up physical/check-up and body composition to maintain a key element of ‘hands-on’ tracking and safety checks.
  • Provide personal support to address any issues/concerns regarding your improvement plan and medical/specialist support.
  • Review progress and discuss potential adjustments to your body-tracking, targeted medications, genetic advantages and risk profiles, exercise plans, nutrition changes, and psychological support if needed.
  • Provide interpretation/education insights into how your body works and the science behind the programme.
  • Options to engage with our private GP service if needed/appropriate, to handle episodic medical issues or primary chronic conditions you may wish to have a strong primary care service at your disposal for.

Throughout this year you will take ownership of and keep track of your chosen 20 to 25 super-metrics and your progress towards the prospect of extending your healthy, happy years. Our team of experts will be with you every step of the way, helping you achieve both your short and long-term objectives. We will also work through the year to ensure you understand as much of the hard science as you want, so that you are increasingly informed and equipped to continue ‘managing your body', your health prospects and your overall performance in the future.

Customer story

This is the story of Miriam, a fictional character. As you read, consider if any of her issues and aspirations resonate with you.

Miriam is 55 and loves her life. She is determined not to let her quality of life decline as she enthusiastically approaches the coming decades towards 100. While she doesn't fear death, she does fear decrepitude, premature decline and dementia. What she craves most is adventure, independence, mobility, cognitive health, and the ability to stay capable as she ages.

Miriam currently pays nearly £3k a year in council tax for her home, so paying a similar amount annually for the potential to gain an extra 10 to 15 years of healthspan seems like a bargain—if The Full Monty really could work for her. She understands there are no guarantees in life, but she is prepared to back hard science and proactive “iceberg avoidance” tactics. She has lost faith with the traditional model of relying on remedial healthcare, such as the NHS or private insurers, which often only treat symptoms or attempt cures once a disease is already established.

What Miriam didn’t realise was how transformative this journey would be. By engaging with The Full Monty she will learn more about her genetic inheritance and she will make a wide range of simple, measurable changes in her behaviours to improve her life chances. This pursuit of longevity and body performance will become a lifelong journey, engaging both her mind and body.

While Miriam would love a guaranteed elixir of life, she knows that is not realistic. However, she can hope to "load the dice" in her favour and dial in the lifestyle she wants to pursue with a science-based, comprehensive programme. She is also intrigued by the idea of managing her "body age" and finds the concept of VO2 max and some of the other key supermetrics appealing as tangible 'body scores' she can track and improve.

Miriam was particularly excited to learn how vital zone 2 exercise is for building muscle, improving metabolic function, and enhancing long-term health. She has made simple changes to her exercise routine and is already seeing significant gains. As she ages her body naturally produces fewer and less healthy mitochondria, but zone 2 aerobic exercise helps create new mitochondria and recycles the old ones. Zone 2 exercise also supports cognitive health, such as Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor, which plays an essential role in neuron survival and growth.

Miriam also now plans to have affordable, low-dose scans every year to track her bone density, muscle mass, overall muscle-to-fat ratio, and visceral fat levels. She understands that bone density declines at the same rate as muscle mass after the age of 55. Regular weight-bearing exercise, such as heavy weight training, helps her body respond by laying down more bone. She also now enjoys a version of rucking, which involves carrying a weighted pack and hiking uphill—an activity that pushes her limits and helps with bone density.

Building eccentric strength has become a priority for Miriam, especially as she seeks to maintain stability and prevent falls which can lead to a downward spiral. Following our help initially, she now practices controlled movements, such as slowly stepping down and holding her balance. This protects her knees, ankles, and hips while strengthening muscles important for stability. Stability and balance exercises are critical as we age and Miriam is starting early to get ahead of the curve.

Years ago, many people avoided thinking about the possibility of cancer because there was little that could be done once it was discovered. However, advances in early detection have changed this and Miriam now fully embraces regular screening. She doesn't want to leave such serious aspects of her health to chance .

For Miriam, heart health and cancer are also not random time-bombs that might explode in her 60s, 70s, or 80s. These are potential conditions she aims to stay ahead of. The same goes for her alcohol intake, which she now monitors to determine whether it’s appropriate for her unique body and metabolism. With the right tools, she can now decide whether she can continue enjoying alcohol in moderation or if adjustments are necessary to avoid long-term health issues.

Miriam is deeply invested in the science of health and longevity. She is aware that insulin resistance significantly increases the risk of conditions like cancer, Alzheimer's, and cardiovascular disease. The more she learns about metabolic health, the more she understands how crucial it is to keep blood glucose levels stable. She is an advocate of continuous glucose monitoring and tracks her own glucose regulation from time to time. The brain, she knows, suffers from poor glucose metabolism, leading to oxidative stress and a lack of energy for neurons. Miriam is committed to managing her metabolic health, and she enjoys the journey—knowing that she is actively improving her long-term health and well-being.

This is not a one year programme for her - it is now an underpinning for a mission she will stay on for the rest of her life
